Starting from the problem of malnutrition in the elderly, Tops Foods created targeted food solutions for very specific requirements, in partnership with two research groups: Mobilab from Thomas More university college and Lab4Food from the University of Leuven.
As a first result of this scientific collaboration, Tops Foods started the production of extra nutritious meals: Tops Multi-Start, adapted for people with swallowing difficulties. This innovative, ready to use, meal is a fresh product without preservatives or artificial colouring agents and allows a higher intake of calories and proteins.
